Program Description

The central focus of the 2008 conference is to bring people together to share emerging and critical information that will positively impact the oral health of the populations served by our attendees.

Conference Objectives and skills to be gained
This conference is designed to provide new skills, techniques, methodologies and resources for oral care of Native American populations in the Aberdeen Area. The information shared will cover clinical practice; evaluation of existing practices; emerging techniques; and the use of new technologies in the field.

Continuing Education Hours

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Department of Academic Conferences is granting 18.75 clock hours (1.875 CEUs) for attendance at the whole conference. An application is being made through the Indian Health Service Clinical Support Center to acquire professionally accredited continuing education hours for Dentists, Dental Hygenienists and Dental Assistants.


Registration Information

Registration is open to all Aberdeen Area and Bemidji Area oral care providers.

  • There is no registration fee for this event for Aberdeen Area oral care providers/facilities who have not taken their Area Tribal Shares. To register, please check the UNL Cost Object payment option on the Payment Type Page. When it asks for a UNL Cost Object Number - enter your last name and continue with your registration.
  • The fee for Bemidji Area oral care providers/facilities who have not taken their Area Tribal Shares, is $100.00.
  • For all Aberdeen and Bemidji Area oral care providers/facilities who have taken their Area Tribal Shares, the fee will be $300.00.

The 3-day registration will include attendance to all 3 days programs and all conference materials.

Please contact the Aberdeen Area Indian Health Services if you have question concerning your Tribal Shares.

Registration Confirmation: you will receive an email confirmation notice immediately after completing your online registration. If you do not receive this confirmation notice then you are NOT registered for this conference. Please contact us.

When making your reservation, inform them that you are attending the IHS Aberdeen Area Dental Conference. Attendees will make accommodations on their own and be responsible for their own charges.
